Party at Misery’s.. RSVP

Have you ever heard the expression, ‘keeping up with the Joneses?’ This means that if the Jones’s across the street bought a new car, then you have to get a new car..or if the Jones’s got a new tv, you have to get a new tv.. problem is that we do this regardless of how much debt we accumulate aside from monetary..

Have you ever been in a conversation with someone you haven’t seen in a while and you guys are just catching up.. one speaks of a recent illness and how bad the illness was.. the other speaks about their recent illness that was so much worse.. one speaks of how they are in such a bad relationship.. the other speaks on how much worse their relationship is.. one speaks of so much debt.. the other speaks of more debt..one speaks of a disrespect child.. the other speaks of a disrespectful and out of control child who will end up in jail..

Why is everybody trying to outdo each other in the misery department? Why are we trying to see who has the most pain? Why are we trying to see who is going through more trials? Why are we wearing our struggles like a badge of honor…

Stop comparing war wounds and battle scars! Start talking about the many blessings you have and the struggles that you have overcome.. start sharing your stories of walking in your purpose and building your personal legends… start talking about triumphs instead of tragedies..

Your victory is always bigger than their struggles… let them use your victories as a steppingstone… struggles will hold you down.. but you can chose not to stay there..

Misery loves company… but just because you’re invited, doesn’t mean you have to attend..

Battle scars vs. War wounds is simply NOT AN OPTION!!!
